Flaregun is just for dicking about with, like shooting jeeps full of enemies or lighting bases on fire. Also takes a Heavy down pretty quickly when you light 'em up with a direct hit. RPG is just a classic when you want to go loud. Point and shoot, things go boom. The assault rifle is probably the best starting spot.
