Strangely, from my experiments at least, the HD-Fox T2 does encrypt all its recordings - even SD ones - which is the problem. Both the HD and HDR encrypt all SD and HD recordings on the drive used for recording. With the HDR you can copy SD recordings to an external drive and they are then unencrypted and can be played on a PC.
The option to record in HD on BBC1 & 2 works fine. On the Humax HDR (G1 EPG) the HD recording options flag up from all channels correctly, if available. On the Humax 1000s I have the latest firmware .22, reset to default, rescanned channels etc etc. Is there something else I can try or does the G2 EPG on the 1000s have a software bug? 2.
Wait until the TV is on before you fire up the Fox. The two stage system load followed by the application firmware, with blanked screen in between, seems to corrrect most problems. If it is happening in the middle of viewing, try changing the HDMI lead for one costing the least you can find, certainly less than a couple of quid for a short one.
Navigation is very quick and smooth, and you really get the feeling that Humax has put genuine effort into making the FOXSAT-HD as 'live-with-able' as possible. Ex Member. Apr 6, 2013. #1. I have had my Humax HD-FOX T2 for ages and only just found out it can record via USB. I have updated it to the latest firmware and just formatted a 8GB USB stick to Fat32 to test it before ordering a larger one. It reads the stick fine but it just wont record!!!
