May 14, 2020. #3. i just made a post asking about this, my car has an egr delete done to it, but it looks like they removed nothing more than the egr pipe itself and put a block off plate on the egr cooler and the bottom of the "shudder valve" as you guys seem to call it. its actually a vacuum shut off device.
TDI. 2002 Jetta. May 22, 2021. #6. I did an ALH EGR delete using a relay and resistor. Cost about $10 and is not hard to do. Unplug the EGR actuating solenoid. Use that circuit to power a SPDT switch (Relay terminals 85 & 86).

Have two VE TDI's with race pipes. A common theme is loss of mpg's & longer warm up times associated with the EGR delete. My first hand experience with running these cars in the north east is that this is a misconception. I personally experienced a 5mpg drop in overall winter FE and more for strictly around town.
When the file was in the writing process, the process started from about 70%. Is that OK? Could you please tell me if that is a correct method to write the file? My vehicle is Octavia 2 1.9 TDI PD EDC16U34. Since the MPPS software does not have EDC16U34 in his menu, I selected Golf 5 1.9 TDI PD EDC16U34.
